Feeling At Home

You rarely feel at home when you are traveling abroad, you see the beauty, you see the sophistication, but it is other people’s beauty and other people’s sophistication. By chance my family and I came across a small trattoria called Le Tavernelle in The Monti district of Rome. We immediately felt at home. In spite of language differences it was clear that we were among who care about our needs and who understand our taste, and understand these little things which don’t need to be explained. It turned out that this was the favorite place of Federico Fellini. It has WiFi, and delicious food, but most of all it has the attitude of “La Dolce Vita.” The more complex our needs were, the more happy they seemed to satisfy them. On the walls there are multiple pictures with autographs of famous people. They apparently also felt at home here.
